Soccer Practice

Brycie started soccer this week. It was...interesting. We got him started in this little soccer league called Pre-K kickers, over at Folsom Sports Complex. They have this really nice indoor soccer field there.

He really loved running around and kicking the ball with all of the other kids. The league is for kids ages 2.5 to 4...and he isn't even technically 2.5 yet, so he is definitely one of the younger ones there.

Unfortunately he was totally scared every time Coach Joe blew his whistle (which was like every 30 seconds). And he has a very short attention span...so when Coach Joe wanted to lecture the toddlers on the objectives of soccer...Brycen was not interested at all. I'm really not sure why this guy is the Coach at all...he is not kid-friendly...and he'd get really frustrated with the kids when they wouldn't listen to his directions. What does he expect from a 2-year-old???

LOL I don't think a coach like that should be coaching 2 year pods either. Hopefuly he doesn't scare Brycie away. Good luck though I am sure he will get used to the whistle. Haha

That is funny that the coach tries to give them lectures. Just let the kids kick the ball around!

That's one lucky kid, swim lessons, soccer practice. Sounds fun! Maybe the coach will be nicer once he gets to know them. (he he)
Love you, miss you,

Maybe the coach is out on good behavior and was hunting for community service hours to report to his parole officer. Just kidding! If I were Brycen, I'd be scared to death. Hopefully it will be fun for him.
